The Northeast Kingdom

Hello everyone! I just came back from a week long trip to the Northeast Kingdom. In Connecticut we went to a Homeschool conference with the best speakers ever. Mom manned a booth for the company that we buy our school curriculum from, so Dad and I mostly travled from speakers to the booth hall on our own. There wasn't much to take pictures of except this sunset in Hartford, which was the location of the conference. Then, in Vermont, we visited friends and relatives and stayed in my Grandparents farm house.

Hans Herr Orientation

Hi everyone! Today I went through orientation at the Hans Herr house to become a junior interpreter. I will be there one day of the week for almost every week of the summer. My task is demonstrating basket weaving, which should be a lot of fun. I didn't take any photos yet, but I will! Oh, I also get an early colonial style costume to wear.
Because I didn't take any pictures of that, I am going to post a random nature picture.

Polka-dotted Bag

Today I made a big but super cute bag. I got the instructions from a book called "One-Yard Wonders" by Rebecca Yaker and Patricia Hoskins.

Silver Mine Park

Hi everyone! Yesterday my family and some friends went to Silver Mine Park, where we climbed trees, watched geese, stream stomped (and we just had to jump in and get our whole bodies wet!) and picnicked. Oh, I also got some good pictures of my friends!

Friends, Confirmation, and a Birthday

Hello everyone! Its been so long since I last made a post that I have three topics to blog about. But let’s put first things first and save last things for last. (Good luck understanding that, by the way) Okay, first, we went to Harrisonburg Virginia for a few days a couple weeks ago to see some friends from South Dakota who were visiting relatives.
 Here is Ari and I
Hannah and Malia

Next, on that very same weekend, I was confirmed in my faith at church. Here is my outfit.

Finally, yesterday was Hannah’s birthday.

Spring has Sprung!

Ok, I know that it is almost the middle of May and that spring has been with us for a while, but spring has now fully sprung. The crocuses may have bloomed in March, but God must have held back the true splendor of the season through the cold spell in April. The azaleas, Irises, and rhododendrons are blooming, I found a robin’s nest with chicks in it, and the trees are fully leaved. Praise the Lord, spring has sprung!

Assateague Vacation

My family just came back from a vacation near Assateague Island, where the wild ponies live. We camp there at least once a year. While there this time, we also went to a small zoo in Maryland.
Some Sandhill Cranes at the zoo. What a funny noise!
