Seaside Poem

Seaside Days

Strolling up the seaside path,
Searching for a curly shell,
Running o’er to take a bath,
Splashing through a salty swell.

Laughing oh so merrily,
Standing on a sandy dune,
Dancing ‘round with joyful glee,
Noting that the night comes soon.

Watching heaven turn to gold,
Feeling breezes cool my skin,
Knowing that the day is old,
Leaving with that gold within.

Hawk Mountain

Yesterday we went to Hawk Mountain, a migration sanctuary for raptors here in PA. I didn’t get any pictures of the birds, they flew to high up (exept for vultures). However, they had a nice garden where I got some pictures. One is of me and a few of the other kids that went. (It was a field trip.)

Mountains

Here are some beautiful mountains that we saw last week! ( I confess that the one with the really cool angle Daniel took.)

From Alpacas to Mayberry

Hello everyone! Like I said last time, We’re in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia. We are in Fancy Gap, Virginia. Today, we visited an Alpaca farm.  Alpacas are wonderful creatures! God must have made them for their soft fur.

After lunch, we drove over the North Carolina border, which is really near here, to ‘Mayberry’.  Those of you who are familiar with the Andy Griffith Show will know what I mean. Actually, Mayberry isn’t a real town. It is based of the town we visited, Mount Airy, Andy Griffith’s birth town. While there we visited Opie’s candy shop, Wally’s Garage, The court house, ect.

Spelunking in Virginia

Hello everyone! I’m in southern Virginia. For those of you that have watched the Waltons, the scenery is much more beautiful than on the show, which, I think, was filmed in California. Here are some pictures of a cave that Dad and I climbed down into.

“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord”
These beautiful flowers show that God created magnificent, huge things and tiny, delicate things.
